The Residential Tenancies Bond Authority (RTBA) holds all Victorian residential tenancy bonds, including those on rented premises, long term caravans, and rooming houses.
RTBA Online allows tenants and agents/landlords to view the status of their bond transactions and generate forms for bond lodgement, bond repayment claims, and bond transfers.

Landlords and Tenants can view their rental bond details online. To login, you will need the:
  • bond number, and;
  • tenant surname.
Agents can be approved as Registered Users which allows them to view and undertake transactions on all of their bonds.

The RTBA holds bonds in a neutral capacity in trust for landlords and tenants, giving all parties equal say on how bonds should be repaid when tenancies end. Bonds are repaid either as agreed by the agent/landlord and tenant, or if there is a dispute, as directed by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
